My name is Francis, a Game Designer residing in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Outside of playing videogames, I love to read, play beach volleyball, and I am a passionate sport climber.
And even during beach volleyball I find myself doing game design. Last summer, I designed a ranked system for it. Participating players get an ELO and can choose to play "ranked" beach volleyball matches. This in turn led to our most exciting matches yet, where the stakes are truly heightened. |
Breda University of Applied Sciences is where I studied Game Design & Production and it's where I discovered my fondness for System Design & Balancing. In my 6 years in the industry deepened my knowledge in those areas tremendously. I use my expertise to concept, prototype, and iterate on core gameplay systems. I also have a knack for finding small imperfections, which can elevate features from good to great.
I am currently working at Galaxy Grove as a Senior Technical Game Designer working on an unannounced project in Unreal Engine.

- Balancing, System Design and in-game content creation for Iron Harvest.
- Game Design, System Design, and Balancing for the Iron Harvest Worldmap addon.
- Game Design and UI/UX Design for the PS5 and XBOX versions of Iron Harvest. I worked closely with the creative director, the UI artist, and the programmers to create engaging experiences when playing the game with a controller.
- Game Design, balancing and core system design for Dawn of War 4.
